Gary Con 2008

Thursday, March 6th, 2008

As a way of honoring Gary Gygax we will have a “Gary Con” across the globe this weekend.

Get your old gaming friends together, or invite some new players to join you for a game. We’ll all play either Dungeons & Dragons, or some other game but with a classic D&D type dungeon in it.

This is a global event for new and old fans of Gary’s game to get together, roll some dice, and have some fun. If you’re on Facebook, we’ve setup an event page for Gary Con 2008.

Farewell to the Dungeon Master

Tuesday, March 4th, 2008

I heard the sad news earlier today: Gary Gygax the co-creator of Dungeons & Dragons, and father of modern role-playing, had passed away at the age of 69.

I never got the opportunity to meet Gary in person, but was fortunate enough to chat with him a bit online. He seemed like a genuinely nice guy, and enjoyed hearing from the many fans of his work.

Thanks for the countless hours of fun and imagination you gave us all Gary.
