Redesign 2006

This week you may already have noticed the newly launched version of Design Meme. It’s more of an evolution from the previous design, rather than a completely new direction. The overall darker design is something I had intended to do since switching from Movable Type to Wordpress and moving to the new hosting company. I also wanted to move away from the standard 2-column blog format a bit, and get a bit more creative with colours and typography.
I’ve also updated my portfolio with some of the more interesting projects I’ve worked on in the past few years. More sites to be added here soon!
The relaunch coincides with the May 1st Reboot and CSS Reboot projects. I wasn’t sure if I’d get things finished by May 1st (although I did) so I didn’t register with any of the official sites. I also had some very sad news earlier in the week, and didn’t feel like posting anything about the new design until today.
