Stuart Robertson started his career in web design, development and management in 1996 working as Regional Web Manager for the Government of Canada. In 2000 he became the Website Manager for the University of Guelph.
The University of Guelph has received multiple awards for for its website, most recently in 2008 when it was recognized as the best University Website by the Canadian Council for the Advancement of Eductation.
Stuart’s role in web management for the University of Guelph includes the primary design and development work for the site, overall web strategy, marketing, search engine optimization, integration of content management systems, policy development, and co-ordination of staff publishing web content across the organization.
Since 2004 Stuart has also been a Faculty member teaching web design in the Media Studies department at the University of Guelph-Humber in Toronto.
Stuart’s writing on new web design techniques has appeared in print as well as various websites including the influential online magazine A List Apart.
In addition to his work in Academia, Stuart is also available for freelance project based work, technical training, and web consultancy for your business.
