A Murder of Scarecrows

Friday, July 30th, 2004

In this forest far away
Three strawmen stand on display
For spiteful crows to attack
To rip apart their straw filled sacks…

A Murder of Scarecrows is a hauntingly beautiful game by Vincent Marcone. If you like the music that accompanies the game, make sure to check out Vincent’s band Johnny Hollow on Saturday July 31st at THE 360 in Toronto, along with Tepid Lust and The Birthday Massacre.

My Dad’s Birthday

Wednesday, July 21st, 2004

Today would have been my Dad’s 54th birthday. It’s been almost 5 months now, and there’s so many things I wish he could have seen. The summer. Our new house. The ultrasound pictures of the baby. I know those things would have made him happy.

ComiXpress

Friday, July 16th, 2004

ComiXpress is a new service for independent comix artists that will print books with no minimum orders, act as their online store, then fulfill the order so that all the artist needs to worry about is creating their comix and being notified of their sales.

From low-quantity, high-quality printing to distribution and sales through the online store, Comixpress is designed to be the answer to costly, high-quantity print runs and the hassles of distribution and warehousing.

ComiXpress allows creators the opportunity to print their comics in quantities as low as one single issue for incredibly low prices (You can literally get the ball rolling for just over $10!).

ScareFest

Thursday, July 15th, 2004

Gail Cohen redesigned the website for ScareFest.com using the tips from my “Night of the Image Map” article. The site looks great, and continues the CSS meets Horror trend we started with the site for “Dead Ends Massachussetts. Be warned that ScareFest is a haunted attraction site and as such may not be suitable for the faint of heart…

Only 107 days until Halloween!
